Our Products
Are your canvases hand painted?
The majority of the canvases on sale on our website are not hand painted. However,
the quality of our printed canvases surpass many of their handpainted counterparts on the market.
We have perfected the printing process so that they are indistinguishable from
painted pieces - you would need to scrutinize them closely to see otherwise. Needlework shop owners
have assured us that our work is comparable to hand painted canvases. We think you will agree.
All of our canvases are created with thick, expensive, 100% cotton needlepoint canvas.
Zweigart Mono Deluxe Needlepoint canvas is
widely regarded as the best material available for needlepoint canvas. The printing process utilizes
high-quality brand-name inks, to produce radiant imagery in vivid, long-lasting color.
Choosing high-quality printed canvas is a smart shopping decision, as this method of production is
inexpensive compared to painting, which translates into better prices for you. We are confident that our
products will satisfy you beyond your expectations.
We do have a number of designs that are handpainted on 13 count Zweigart. These are
larger pieces and begin at significantly higher price points. These products are
labeled "handpainted" in the online and print catalogs.
Can you customize my canvas?
Of course! Check out our page where we discuss Custom Work.
Use the Contact Form to send us your
specific question. We will probably be able to accomodate you.
Most customizations are done at no extra charge.
These include canvas enlargement, image orientation, changes to text or fonts, and color changes.
Others can be done for a small customization surcharge. More extensive
customizations, or a custom canvas created to spec, are priced on an individual basis.
Is thread included in the purchase price?
For most canvases, the answer is No. A needlepoint canvas is sold by itself,
with any embellishments, if available.
Our "I CAN Needlepoint" line of products come packed with all the thread you need
to stitch and finish the headband, barrette, or ponytail holder.
A few of our items are kits that include thread. These are generally smaller projects
intended for younger stitchers.

Where is Pepita Needlepoint located?
Pepita Needlepoint is a small business that operates online.
The company is owned and operated by needleart professionals residing in Brooklyn, NY.
We design and produce the needlepoint canvases ourselves. We handle the orders ourselves.
We talk to customers ourselves (try us right now, we are at 718-395-7370, M-F, 9am-5pm ET).
We write the stitch guides ourselves. We even built and operate the website ourselves.

Who is Pepita?
Actually, Pepita is not anyone's name (at least not anyone we know).
The word "pepita" is the Hungarian word for the
checkerboard or houndstooth pattern. Since both of us grew up in homes where Hungarian was spoken, and
Zweigart Mono Deluxe interlocking mesh looks like a checkerboard pattern (sort of), we used the word to name
our business. It is pronounced with the emphasis on the first syllable,
and the "ta" pronounced "tuh."
Do you sell wholesale?
Yes. As a matter of fact, we only sell our canvases wholesale.
If you are a retail customer, we can direct you to a list of establishments
that offer our products for sale.
If you would like to order some of our products for resale, please use the
Contact Form to let us know. We can send you a brochure,
or else you can just order directly using the product names from the website.
Shipping
How long will it take for me to get my items?
We make our best effort to have your orders out the door on the following business day.
If you selected the free shipping option during checkout, the order is shipped using conventional mail by
USPS. The number of days it takes to get to you generally corresponds to the first number of your zip code.
For example, if your zip code begins with a 5, it will usually be no more than five days before you receive your order.
To get your items sooner, you may want to opt for Priority Mail.
Then it should take about 2-3 business days to arrive.

Do you ship to my country?
We ship to 52 different countries worldwide. You can see a list of countries that we serve
on our Shipping Policies and Procedures page. Alternatively, if you have items in your
