These are very simple but elegant matchbox covers that can be stitched up and finished in a jiffy. You can use them for decorating matches for lighting the Hanukkah Menorah or Sabbath Candles. The article features a beautiful photo and a well-written step-by-step description of how it is done. Definitely worth every penny - both the magazine issue, and the mini-kit. These are part of the "Kitlets" category at Pepita Needlepoint.
Just in time for Passover, our Regal Matzo Cover and Afikoman Bag canvas set was written up in the March/April issue of Needlepoint Now. These were finished expertly and photographed for the article, which presents various stitching techniques for completing the project. These pieces require a greater investment of time but are very worthwhile; the resulting matching set will be a treasured feature of the annual Passover Seder - for generations.
This sassy new quarterly tabloid on all things thread-related featured an article of mine, starring the Flip Flops on the Beach canvas from our Ocean category. The article is half biographical, half design philosophy, and includes a full-page color chart of the design. It is my first appearance in the magazine.
We wrote an article about embellishing needlepoint projects with miniature picture frames, mirrors, and other delightful touches that really bring a finished work to life! It includes photos of some of our most popular designs, such as the Home Sweet Home collection's Couch Topiary, complete with a ornate gold-leaf framed painting mounted above the couch.
Needlepoint Now magazine features Renee Frank with her design "East". This canvas is designed to resemble the stones of the Western Wall in Jerusalem. Every stone in the background is done with a distinct stitch, all of which are described and illustrated in the article. Everything else you need to know to complete the project is included as well.
The fabulous July/August issue of Needlepoint Now magazine includes this very interesting feature on the back cover. A needlepoint canvas that is uniquely embellished and stitched, resulting in an arresting framed piece that is a joy to create. You can find this canvas, Secret Garden, on this website. Renee also shares some of her design philosophy and technique.
Our very first feature article in the most popular needlepoint magazine. This article featured our popular Afikoman Bag project. This is stitched and used as a traditional Passover seder item. The article details how this project is completed, including thread choices, stitches to use, and finishing. Some background about the Passover seder Afikoman event is included.
