Good Morning Prayer

The "Modeh Ani" prayer is the first that is uttered by a Jew upon awakening in the morning. It thanks God for safekeeping and then returning the soul to my body. This needlepoint poster includes the prayer above an image of a sweet young girl washing her hands, in a ritual called "Negel Vasser", traditionally performed in the morning directly after getting out of bed.
