The High Priest wore a breastplate with 12 embedded precious stones: one for each tribe of Israel. Aaron, or Aharon HaKohen, the very first High Priest of the Jewish nation, was also the ultimate peacemaker, both between fellow Jews, and between the Jews and God in heaven.
